Itinerary:
Day 01 :
Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Dades/Tinghir
- Drive from Marrekech to visit Ait Ben HaddouOn the first day, you will head to Ait Ben Haddou, located in the High Atlas Mountains. This historic kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is both architecturally impressive and culturally significant.
- Continue to Dades/TinghirAfter lunch near the kasbah, you will continue to your overnight accommodation in Dades/Tinghir.
Day 02 :
Dades - Todra Gorges - Merzouga
- Admire the Dades GorgesBegin the second day by visiting the Dades Gorges. After visiting the gorges, stop for lunch before continuing to the Merzouga Desert.
- Ride a camel into the desert and camp overnightIt's then time to saddle your camel at sunset and prepare for an unforgettable evening amidst vast rolling waves of golden sand in one of Morocco's most spectacular deserts. End this magical night under a starry sky, in traditional-style tents!
Day 03 :
Merzouga - Desert Nomads - Berber Camp
- Marvel at a desert sunriseOn the third day, you will witness a breathtaking sunrise atop the Erg Chebbi dunes.
- Ride a 4x4 through the desertThen continue exploring the desert landscapes by 4x4. Visit the local nomads and marvel at how they survive despite the harsh conditions by leading their herds across the desert sand and mountains.
- Savor dinner, music, and overnight campingAfterwards, sip tea while enjoying traditional Berber cuisine and Gnawa music. Finish your trip with dinner and a campfire with Berber music under a starry sky.
Day 04 :
Merzouga - Ouarzazate - Marrakech
- Leave the desert and visit OuarzazateOn the fourth day, you'll bid farewell to the Sahara after breakfast and hop on a camel to embark on a journey to Merzouga. Afterward, get some time (depending on travel times and stops made along the way) to admire the city of Ouarzazate.
- Drive through the High Atlas Mountains to MarrakechYou'll cross desert landscapes, then some serious mountain climbing as you cross the High Atlas Mountains. By nightfall, you'll be back in Marrakech.
